Art that captures the
soul of cycling
Ever have that moment when something you see just clicks?..
That's how I felt as watched the coverage of the UCI Cycling Championships from Wollongong, Australia.
When Glasgow, my home city, was announced as the next host for the championships, I knew I had to create something special — a tribute to cycling, to the city, and to everything the bike has meant to me over the years.
The energy, the color, the chaos... the sheer human drama of it all — it ignited something within me.
As a lifelong cyclist and artist, I've always felt a deep connection between the two.
Cycling isn't just about the miles or the medals; it's about the feeling — the grit, the freedom, the highs and lows, the "race within the race." And I wanted to capture that feeling in my art.
But I didn't want to just paint portraits of cyclists or landscapes of famous climbs.
That felt… surface level. I wanted to get to the grit, the real stuff. What it feels like to experience the cycling at all levels — it's not about any specific rider or race, but something any cyclist can connect with.
The process wasn't easy. Just like cycling, there were challenges and setbacks, good days and bad, but I kept coming back to my mantra of 'cycling is an art.'
So, I started playing with abstract shapes and colours, trying to translate those feelings.
That's how the Peloton Abstract collection came about.
The Peloton
Abstract Collection
The Peloton Abstract Collection is a series of bold, abstract paintings capturing the raw energy and movement of cycling through vibrant colour and dynamic composition.
All hand-painted acrylic on canvas.
Each piece transforms your space with a modern, rhythmic presence, blending seamlessly into contemporary interiors while making a striking statement and perfect conversation starter.
Cycling has been a constant in my life... a source of motivation, challenge, and inspiration.
Giving away this collection for free helps me to get my name out there to the wider cycling community as an artist and gets my artwork into your hands and homes.
It helps me extend my reach and connect with more people.
Keep me in mind the next time you need an original gift for that cyclist in your life too.
I believe everyone should be able to have beautiful art in their space.
If this sounds like something you are interested in, here are the next steps…
